How do I setup and run my linksys router without using a desktop?

I have 2 laptop I want to be able to use wirelessly but I'm not sure how to setup my router to the Internet modem without having a computer running directly to the router. How do I go about setting the router up to be used only for wireless?|||You must first connect to your router using an ethernet cable - so you are wired - and able to get on the internet. Then, you can set up your wireless connection, adding security (either wep, wpa), your username and your password. The router's wireless network/ssid wireless name, and the wireless key should be on a label stuck to your router and will also be needed.

Any further support and advice should be found on linksys website (search for your router). Or try searching Google to reveal many websites that can give you step-by-step instructions with screen grabs based on your router.|||Your laptops have Ethernet plugs on them. So, you can connect one of them up to it using the ethernet cable (usually blue or yellow in the box with the router or modem).

Once you're attached, you can configure the wifi setup and never plug into the router until you have to reset it for some reason. You can configure it via wifi unless you reset it.

Hope this helps. Vote me best answer if it does!|||Connect the router to your modem. Connect a laptop to your router either wired or wireless and configure the router via its web interface.
