How do i setup a password for a linksys router.?

i want to know how do i setup a password for my linksys WRT54G router. i dont want people to connect to my internet. can anyone please help me.|||Step 1. Get into your admin page by typing http://192.168.1.1 if this is not working right click local area conection -- status --- suport and look at gateway and go to you gateway through internet explorer


Step 2. Enter the username (admin)/Password (if you had set one)


Step 3. Click wireless then click wireless security


Step 4. Under security mode, choose WPA Shared key.


Step 5. Enter the password you want in the WPA shared key


Step 6. Save the changes and you should be good to go.
