How to setup my linksys wireless g wrt54gs router without the Cd?

my friend gave me a linksys wireless g wrt54gs router ver.6 without the cd. i pluged everything up but non of my wireless electronics will connect with it because i dont have the password.how can i set it up without the cd?|||google 'how to do a 30-30-30 reset for a router' then the plug your computer into the router via ethernet and type in your web browser '192.168.1.1' when it prompts you for the password type in 'admin' in the password field. Leave the username field blank. Then google the rest of it, i'm too lazy to type all the steps out.|||On the back of the Router there is a little hole. Stick a pen in it while plugged into power and hold it for 5 sec. Then unplug it, wait 30 secs and plug it back in.

This procedure resets the Linksys to factory defaults and...deletes all the passwords.

If you wanna configure the router, then 192.168.1.1 and default password and user id

ID: admin

Pass: admin

Good luck!|||The CD will not give u the password.

U can do a reset of the router by holding in the little red button (at least on my wrt150n it's red) for a minute or so. That will totally clear all the settings of the router and return them to the defaults.

The default user name is "root" and the default password is "admin"|||go to the linksys website, they should have an area for that purpose as long as u know all the proper info on your router.
