How to install and setup a linksys router without a cable modem?

I do have a 4g usb internet modem and i know to bridge its internet connection with my router so i can share the internet with other computers. What I want to do is reconfigure my router to change its security settings. Since I have only one ethernet slot on my pc I need it to be connected to the yellow internet slot on the router. Entering 192.168.1.1 doesn't work. Linksys setup wizard says to connect the modem and the pc directly to the router, but i cant do that because current internet setup. Resetting router doesn't work.
